| Business Description Summary: | Nu-Power Technologies has been formed to engineer, construct, market and operate state of the art equipment that addresses the worlds environmental and fuel demands. The age of environmentally consciousness has arrived. Driven by the declining sources of hydro carbon based fuels, the awareness of our environment and the need to develop new ways and means of disposing what we generate, caused Nu-Power Technologies to be formed. It is estimated that each man, woman and child disposes of 14 pounds of garbage each day. The demand for more and cleaner electricity is on the rise. The electrical power industry burns hundreds of thousands of tons of coal and fuel oil per year. Nu-Power Technologies was created from a group of businessmen in Florida who were interested in developing a business utilizing the latest technologies in waste disposal and converting the energy to electrical power generation. Through the group’s extensive research and investigation, the technology that best fit the ideal model is a process known as Gasification. This technology has been in operation in Asia for about ten years, but has not been very well understood, or has its abilities been marketed. Nu-Power purchased and redesigned an existing 10 ton per day melting point, and has expanded its abilities with newer, state of the art intellectual properties, and patented processes. Further, Nu-Power has signed exclusive operating rights with all parties connected with the design, fabrication, and construction of the original prototype plant. There is a long operating history with this process, Nu-Power has expanded upon that and opened the door to commercial applications. The once Korean, now added upon Nu-Power technology is unique in many respects. It utilizes the most advanced means of waste disposal using the “gasification process”. This process allows for many spin-off processes. The primary activity is to create sufficient energy from the thermal treating of the waste streams, and taking that energy to power electrical generators. The most encouraging aspect of the process is the creation of hydrogen gas. This can be accomplished directly from the waste generated from the treatment process, or hydrogen can be created as a “stand alone” process. The waste to energy process (incinerator or melt point – more technically referred to as a gasifier) has the ability to control the temperatures required for treatment depending on the waste stream being disposed of. Wastes requiring greater treatment can be disposed of at higher temperatures. The unit can operate in ranges as low as 900 degrees C to as high as 3,000 degrees C. A broad range of wastes have been treated and disposed of, ranging from standard household garbage (MSW), to nuclear waste from power plant reactors. The heat and potential energy created from the process has been used to power electrical generators, to providing steam, heat and hot water for residential subdivisions. Nu-Power Technologies is now poised to penetrate and dominate its targeted markets. Projections indicate the company can achieve net income in excess of 100 million on combined technology sales within five years. |
